Batavia student named to fall 2024 dean’s list at Ripon College
Ripon College has announced its Dean's List for the Fall 2024 semester recognizing academic excellence. To qualify for the Dean's List at Ripon College, students must achieve a 3.40 grade point average or higher on a 4.00 scale and complete at least 12 credits of regular letter-graded works.

UW-Whitewater announces 2024 winter graduates
Jacob Holcombe, from Batavia, earned a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at winter commencement, held December 14, 2024.
Approximately 633 students crossed the stage to receive their degrees at the ceremony, held at Kachel Fieldhouse in the Williams Center.
Holcombe graduated with a bachelor's in psychology.
The 815-member graduating class included three international students, 58 military veterans and 138 nontraditional students, defined as undergraduate students who are 25 years of age or older. In addition, 80 self-identified students with disabilities received degrees.

Local student named to College of Charleston president's list
Sabrina George, of Batavia, was named to the College of Charleston Fall 2024 President's List. George is majoring in Data Science.
To qualify for the President's List (Highly Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.800 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Batavia student earns SUNY Cortland Dean's List honors
Gabrielle Iwinski, of Batavia, was among the 2,971 students named to the Dean's List at SUNY Cortland for the Fall 2024 semester. Iwinski is studying Sport Management.
The Dean's List is the highest ranking for undergraduate students in their respective academic areas of the university. Students must earn a minimum 3.3 grade point average for the semester to make the list.

UTampa names Batavia student to fall 2024 dean’s list
Nolan Lewis, of Batavia, earned dean's list honors at the University of Tampa for the Fall 2024 semester. Lewis is a Senior majoring in Entrepreneurship BS. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.

Batavia student gets membership into Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi
Grace Regnier, of Batavia, was recently elected to membership into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society, at Grand Valley State University.
Regnier is among approximately 20,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
