College Credits: Batavia Students Land On Honor Lists, Graduate
Area students from Batavia are doing amazing things at colleges and universities across the United States.

Batavia student graduates from University Honors Program at Nebraska
Katherine Schoenfelder of Batavia is among 197 University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduating seniors who have completed the requirements to graduate from the University Honors Program in May. Schoenfelder will graduate from the College of Business.

To graduate from the Honors Program, students must maintain at least a 3.5 grade-point average, complete a culminating senior project or research thesis, and fulfill other curricular requirements.
"The majority of these graduates were among the first cohort to enter college during the COVID-19 pandemic," said Patrice McMahon, director of the Honors Program. "Their completion of the Honors curriculum demonstrates impressive resilience and commitment to academic excellence, and we are proud of all they have accomplished."

Local student named to SNHU Dean's List
Nicholas Benson of Batavia (60510) has been named to Southern New Hampshire University's Winter 2024 Dean's List. The winter terms run from January to May.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

UW-Whitewater announces spring 2024 Dean's List
The following students were named to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Dean's List for the 2024 spring semester.

Brendan O'Brien, from Batavia, was named to the Milwaukee School of Engineering's Honors List for the 2024 Spring Semester. O'Brien is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering.
