Downtown Batavia Weekend Events: Artisan Collective, Pig Roast
Shop handmade goods and vintage items from local artists, then enjoy some BBQ to benefit the Valley Sheltered Workshop on Saturday.
BATAVIA, IL — Shop local art and enjoy BBQ for a cause in Downtown Batavia on Saturday.
Artisan Collective Batavia will be hosting its last pop-up market of the season from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday on N. River Street, where local artisans will offer a variety of handmade goods and vintage items.
"Our makers are sure to have lots of spooktacular items as well as unique goods to start checking off your holiday shopping," the Artisan Collective wrote on its Facebook page. "Hope to see all you creeps there 😉."

Once you're done picking out your favorite pieces of art, stop by Team FIB BBQ's pig roast from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Batavia Boardwalk Shops, located north of the Batavia Farmers Market (near 111 N. River Street).
Proceeds donated by Team FIB BBQ will benefit Valley Sheltered Workshop, a nonprofit that provides job opportunities to adults with disabilities.

Pig roast attendees can also enter a 50/50 raffle to support Valley Sheltered Workshop. Anyone with questions can call VSW at (630) 879-2359.
