MONDAY, JAN. 7

Battery: Insulting/Provoking Contact

Heather Lee Zeitler, 40, of the 900 block of Ash Street, was arrested at 3:26 p.m. at the , where she turned herself in on a warrant for battery. The warrant relates to an incident at 11:25 p.m. on Jan. 2 in which Zeitler is accused of throwing a drink into the face of a 50-year-old woman at the Wild Monk Bar, 51 S. 1st St. After her arrest, Zeitler posted $250 cash bond and was released pending a Feb. 28, 2013, court appearance.

2 Charged in St. Charles, Elgin Liquor Thefts

Laurence Cordova Pena, 42, and Jennifer Ann McKiness, 33, both of the 200 block of North 15th Street, were arrested in the 500 block of Randall Road by St. Charles and Elgin police in connection with a series of thefts of liquor over the past two weeks in both cities, police said. They were charged by both St. Charles and Elgin police. In St. Charles, each was charged with one count of felony retail theft. They both were transported to the DuPage County Jail, where they were held pending a court appearance.

Suspicious Incident

A 38-year-old Geneva woman told St. Charles police she saw an eastbound van pull up to the curb on the northbound side of Indiana Avenue near South 7th Street, and two males jump out of the passenger side of the van. The woman told police she thought this was suspicious, and fearing that perhaps the two males intended to grab someone, turned around and went back to the intersection. She had seen a group of juveniles walking south, past that intersection. Police checked the area but could find no indications of a problem.

Disorderly Conduct/Public Drunkenness

Joseph R. Marcinkowski, 23, of the 100 block of Lootens Court, Batavia, was cited at 1:45 a.m. on the 200 block of Cedar Street with disorderly conduct/public drunkenness. The officer saw Marcinkowski behaving aggressively near , after he had been told to leave.

Resisting a Peace Officer

Anthony E. Tucker, 21, of the 1400 block of Madison Avenue, was charged at 1:48 a.m. at a home on the 2900 block of Pleasant Plains Drive with resisting a peace officer. He posted $150 bond and was released pending a Feb. 7, 2013, court appearance.

Warrant Arrest, Underage Drinking

  • Alexander Steven Heath, 20, of the 00-99 block of North 15th Street, was arrested at 11 p.m. on the 100 block of North 15th Street on an unspecified warrant and on a charge of underage consumption of alcohol. He posted $150 bond and was released pending a Feb. 21 court appearance.
  • Joshua A. Love, 19, of the 200 block of Grand Ridge Road, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. on the 100 block of North 15th Street on an unspecified warrant and on a charge of underage consumption of alcohol. He was held pending a court appearance.

FRIDAY, JAN. 4, 2013

Leaving the Scene of an Accident

Christopher W. Koehn, 24, of the 200 block of Grant Street, Geneva, was charged at 2:15 a.m. at his home with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failure to stop or yield. Police said the accident with another vehicle occurred at Prairie Street and South 3rd Street at about 1:30 a.m. He was released on his own recognizance pending a Feb. 21, 2013 court appearance.

THURSDAY, JAN. 3

Cannabis Possession

Gregory P. Meehan, 25, of the 300 block of Colonial Circle, Geneva, was cited at 5:52 p.m. in the 100 block of South Tyler Road, with possession of cannabis.

SUNDAY, DEC. 30, 2012

Fighting

Rhett J. Stoney, 25, of Atlanta, Ga., and Reed Patrick Stoney, 29, of the 700 block of Bent Ridge Lane, Elgin, were each cited at 1:10 a.m. at , with fighting prohibited. Police used video from the bar to identify a third person, David A. Crawford, 38, of the 400 block of Old Kirk Road, Geneva, and mailed him a fighting prohibited citation as well.

SATURDAY, DEC. 22, 2012

Vehicle Burglary

  • Someone took five classical music compact discs from the garage of a residence in the 500 block of South Street sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. Dec. 22, reports said. The CDs were valued at $50. According to reports, someone entered the detached garage through the unlocked side entrance door and took the discs from an unlocked vehicle.
  • Someone also took five compact discs, a pair of sunglasses and about $10 in change from a second vehicle, this one in the driveway of the same home in the 500 block of South Street between the same time period as above on Dec. 22. The value of the stolen items was estimated at $85.

DEC. 17-18, 2012

Theft Under $300

Someone took the rear license plate from a Lexus parked in the 100 block of Syril Drive sometime between 4 p.m. Dec. 17 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 18, reports said. According to reports, the vehicle owner parked the car in his friend’s driveway and rode with a group of friends to spend time in Chicago. The group returned at about 11:30 p.m. and the car owner fell asleep at the friend’s house. The next day, the owner woke up and found two screws and the license plate had been removed.
