Traffic is being directed to use surrounding streets while the road is closed to make room for workers.

BATAVIA, IL — A portion of Illinois Avenue is closed Wednesday as a result of emergency water utility repairs, city staff said.
The 300 block of Illinois Avenue, from Batavia Avenue to Lincoln Street, is closed for the safety of workers, according to a news release.
While residents on the block continue to have full access to come and go, through traffic is asked to use McKee Street or North Avenue as a detour.
