Free Movie Tickets For Veterans Offered At Emagine Batavia
The theater chain, which opened the largest movie theater screen in Illinois in Batavia, will honor veterans with free tickets.
BATAVIA, IL — Batavia's newest movie theater, Emagine, will honor veterans by offering them free movie tickets in celebration of Veteran's Day.
During the day-long deal Monday, Nov. 13, all veterans have to do is bring proof of service — either a service ID card or discharge papers — to the theater, 550 N. Randall Road. Tickets for the offer cannot be purchased online in advance.
All Emagine theaters, with other Illinois locations in Frankfort and Chatham, are participating in the deal.

Movies currently gracing the silver screen include Sofia Coppola's "Priscilla," Martin Scorsese's "Killers of the Flower Moon" and Emma Tammi's video game adaptation "Five Nights at Freddy's."
One of the draws of Emagine Batavia, which officially opened May 31, is the Super EMX auditorium, said to be the largest movie theater screen in Illinois. The auditorium features a 96-foot screen, a Dolby Atmos immersive sound system and 4K laser-projected images.

Comparatively, a typical movie theater screen is between 45 to 65 feet wide, and an IMAX screen is 72 feet wide.

The cineplex, intended to be a luxurious and upscale theater, officials said, includes a total of 12 state-of-the-art auditoriums, all featuring heated recliners and "cuddle chairs."
Movies aren't the only fun to be had at Emagine. The space has a high roller room that features a full-service bar, video games, shuffleboard and four Brunswick Duckpin Social lanes.
