Announcing the inaugural meeting of the Batavia Art League (BAL)

This is a platform designed to bring together individuals with a shared passion for artistic expression.

Co-founded by Julia Kim, Sarah Reeves and Ann Alexander, the Batavia Art League welcomes anyone with an interest in creating art, and embrace working in all types of mediums, including; watercolor, oil, acrylic, color pencils, alcohol markers, pastels, charcoal, mixed media, print making, jewelry clay, weaving and more. Regardless of your skill level, whether you are a novice or a seasoned master, BAL is a space where artists of all backgrounds can come together and learn, teach and create in the same room.

To sustain our artistic community, a modest membership fee of $50 a year has been established. This fee will contribute to covering room rental as well as compensating visiting artists. It does not however cover any art materials. Each member must bring the supplies they wish to use.

We’ll meet Wednesday mornings at 9:30 to noon, beginning September 4, at Paxton Hall in the Congregational Church of Batavia, 21 South Batavia Avenue (across the street from the Library). Please use the church’s south parking lot and entrance.
