Man Seen Trying To Break Through Kid's Bedroom Window: Batavia PD
A man is wanted by Batavia police after a person reported seeing the suspect trying to break through their child's bedroom window.
BATAVIA, IL — The Batavia Police Department wants to remind residents to always lock their doors and windows, even while home, after police officers were called to the 1000 block of Lorlyn Circle at 6:28 p.m. Sunday where the caller said an unknown male tried to get into their child's bedroom through an open window, according to a release from the department. Police said the parent informed Batavia police they'd seen someone walking back and forth by their child's bedroom window and saw the person try to pull the screen off of the window, according to the release. The suspect went to a different window leading into another bedroom and tried to remove that screen, before the parent scared the suspect off and they walked away, police said.
According to police, the suspect was described as a Hispanic male, short stature, medium build, with black hair, and was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and "dirty" work boots. The male was last seen getting into a red, Toyota 4-door vehicle, the release added.
Police ask anyone who witnessed the incident or has more information to please contact the Batavia Police Department at 630-454-2500.
