BATAVIA, IL — The Kane County State's Attorney's Office has received more than 1,500 tips from people who may be potential victims of a Batavia chiropractor accused of filming videos of patients as they were nude or getting undressed, officials said.

David Hanson, the owner of Hanson Family Chiropractic, at 1928 W. Wilson St., was arrested early in November and charged with multiple felonies, including child pornography offenses and unauthorized recording of a minor, after prosecutors said he made the illegal recordings using hidden cameras placed throughout the office.

Investigators said many of the recordings appeared to be taken from a room used for red light and near-infrared light therapy. The victims were mostly female and ranged in age from children to adults, Patch reported.

Since the 43-year-old chiropractor's arrest, investigators in the state's attorney's office received hundreds of calls and emails from potential victims. Investigators from the Child Exploitation Unit continue identifying possible victims, to whom they will be reaching out in the coming weeks, according to a Monday update.

Those who have reached out to the office via its tip line do not have to reach out again, officials said. Mosser's office created a webpage about the case to provide updates and answer frequently asked questions.

"The Kane County State's Attorney's Office remains fully committed to transparency and accountability throughout the course of this case, and we intend to share developments whenever doing so will not compromise the integrity of the investigation," the state's attorney's office said. "We thank the public for their continued patience, cooperation, and willingness to come forward."

Hanson remains detained in the Kane County jail while his case is pending. His next court date is set for 9 a.m. Jan. 8.
