Nearly 30 Batavia Businesses Will Stay Open Late For Holiday Sneak Peek Event

The shops and restaurants decked out for the holidays will offer live music, treats, drinks and make-and-take activities during the event.

BATAVIA, IL — Nearly 30 businesses fully decked out for Christmas will be open late during the annual Holiday Sneak Peek event Nov. 6 in downtown Batavia.

Restaurants and shops will host live music, give complimentary treats and drinks, and offer make-and-take activities for guests to enjoy from 5-8 p.m. that Thursday.

"Downtown Batavia really shines during the holidays," Batavia MainStreet Assistant Director Kristen Desler said in a statement. "Our businesses go all out to make this a fun, festive night for the whole family. Whether you’re shopping, sipping, or just strolling, there's something for everyone to enjoy."

A trolley, sponsored by Gerald Subaru of North Aurora, will take shoppers around town for free during the event. The vehicle will circulate between locations to allow guests to easily hop on and off as they explore downtown Batavia's hot spots.

"We're so excited to have the trolley again this year," Desler said. "It's a fun,
festive way for shoppers to get around town and visit even more of our participating businesses."

Batavia MainStreet, the nonprofit hosting the event, will also be giving away $1,000 in "Candy Cane Cash" during the Holiday Sneak Peek. For each retail purchase made, shoppers will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of 20 $50 prizes redeemable at participating businesses after the event.

The following businesses are taking part in the Holiday Sneak Peek. They'll sport "Candy Cane Lane" markers to be easily identifiable during the event.
