Scheduled Released For Batavia BatFest: See When Parade, Dance Party Are Planned
The annual Halloween-themed event promises something for everyone during a jam-packed day in downtown Batavia.

BATAVIA, IL — BatFest is returning Oct. 25, and organizers at Batavia MainStreet are promising a "day packed wth family fun, festive activities, and plenty of seasonal spirit."
The annual Halloween-themed event is set to take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Batavia. Community-favorite events, including the parade, downtown trick-or-treating and pet costume contest, are planned.
Looking ahead to the event, Batavia MainStreet released the schedule for the day:

- BatFest community parade: Line up at 9:30 a.m.; Parade starts at 10 a.m., with games and music at Funway Entertainment Center
- Downtown trick-or-treating: 10 a.m. to noon
- Super Mario World and face painting at New Moon Vegan: 10 a.m. to noon
- Witches brew mocktails at The Tea Tree: 10 a.m. to noon
- Pottery wheel throwing demonstrations at Thrown Threads: 10 a.m. to noon
- Glow-in-the-dark dance party at Zen Loft Collective: 10 a.m. to noon
- Reptile show at Congregational Church of Batavia: 10-11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
- BatFest stories at Batavia Public Library Reading Garden: 10:45 a.m.
- Final Batavia farmers market of the season: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Incredible bats at Sturdy Shelter Brewing: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Pumpkin roll hosted by Boy Scout Troop 6: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- BatFest booths and performances at Peg Bond Center: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Costume contest: 12:15 p.m. at Peg Bond Center
- Pet costume contest hosted by Fat Sam's for Pets: 1 p.m. at Peg Bond Center; Store will also have a fall photo backdrop set up
- Fall-inspired Cocktails at Bocaditos Cafe
- Kids' crafts at Water Street Studios
