Springtime is Hydrant Flushing Time

The City of Batavia will be flushing fire hydrants this month. Signs will be posted in neighborhoods during the flushing week as a reminder.

Hydrants west of the Fox River are being flushed 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. weekdays through April 15.

Hydrants east of the river will be flushed 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. weekdays April 18-29.

Residents are reminded to check for rusty water before washing clothes. Batavia Water Department officials said they regret any inconvenience while this work is in progress. Call the water department 630-454-2450 with questions or to report problems.
