Steve Carell To Create Prize For Batavia United Way Fundraiser
The actor has offered to create a personalized video for whoever wins the Batavia United Way's raffle later this month.

BATAVIA, IL — Batavia United Way officials were forced to cancel the organization’s annual Barn Party due to the coronavirus pandemic, but an online fundraiser throughout September means supporters can still win prizes, including a video from actor Steve Carell.
In lieu of its September Barn Party, the organization is running a virtual silent auction until Sept. 24 on its website.

The silent auction includes tickets to a Disney park, a lake house retreat and a tailgating package, among numerous other prizes.
Batavia United Way is also holding a raffle for a personalized video from Carell, who has offered to make a Christmas card, birthday greeting, wedding proposal or any other personalized creation, according to a news release.

Coronavirus Increases Hunger: Find A Food Bank In Kane County
Raffle tickets cost $25 each. People can buy tickets and place bids on BataviaUnitedWay.org. The organization will broadcast the raffle drawing at 8 p.m. Sept. 24 on its Facebook page.
Proceeds from the silent auction and raffle will help the Batavia United Way support its 17 local nonprofit partners amid the coronavirus pandemic, the release states.
