Trick-or-treaters will have another chance to collect candy ahead of Halloween at the annual BatFest event.
BATAVIA, IL — Fall weather has descended upon Batavia, and that means Halloween is right around the corner.
The holiday falls on a Friday this year, and the City of Batavia set its recommended trick-or-treating hours for 3-7 p.m. Oct. 31. The city's hours are only a recommendation, police said, and families are encouraged to adjust based on what works for them.
Families will have another opportunity to trick-or-treat and celebrate the fall at the annual BatFest, hosted Oct. 25 by Batavia MainStreet. Community-favorite events, including a parade, downtown trick-or-treating and a pet costume contest, are planned.
