Water Street Studios Plans Largest Group Show Of 2025 For Anniversary
A ceramics pop-up, a food truck and an opening reception for a new exhibit are some of the activities on the docket for the celebration.

BATAVIA, IL — Water Street Studios will celebrate its 16th anniversary on Sept. 12 with the largest group show of 2025.
A nonprofit organization serving as a "welcoming home for self-discovery and expression," Water Street Studios celebrates its anniversary each year by adorning the walls of its gallery in downtown Batavia with the works of its annual members, resident artists, instructors, clay makers and artist collective.
This year's anniversary show will be no different as it celebrates local art and artists, organizers said. The event, planned from 6-9 p.m. Sept. 12, coincides with the nonprofit's monthly Second Fridays series, featuring:

- Opening Reception for "Birding Through Art" by Maria Ananieva in the second-floor gallery
- Ceramics pop-up sale in the Clay Lab, featuring a wide variety of pottery made by Water Street Studios clay makers
- Art demos by instructors Kayla Coulter and Kate McSpadden
- Art supply and local goods raffle baskets
- Cash bar with beer, wine and specialty cocktails
- Food truck
On the same evening, Kiss the Sky will host live music and a live painter, and Grainology, neighboring the art gallery, will celebrate Second Fridays with a food truck and karaoke.
