Western Avenue In Batavia To Close For Pavement Project

A part of the road will be shut down to make way for crews to safely expedite a pavement project at a nearby intersection, officials said.

BATAVIA, IL — A section of Western Avenue in Batavia will be closed for two weeks as part of a nearby pavement project, officials said.

The roadway is shut down from Crestview Drive to Fabyan Parkway starting July 30 until Aug. 11 to give crews the room to safely expedite pavement removal and replacement at the intersection of Fabyan Parkway and Western Avenue, according to a news release.

Officials warn drivers of delays and urge them to watch out for construction workers in the area. Multiple detour routes will be marked for drivers.
