CHICAGO — What could be more fun than a family-friendly gathering with friends and neighbors on a Sunday afternoon to enjoy live music, intriguing art demonstrations, great food, and some creatively crafted cocktails? Doing all that plus bidding in a silent auction, all while supporting the future of the Eugene S. Pike House.

Pike House Fest takes place Sunday, Aug. 3, from noon to 4 p.m., outside the historic home, 1826 W. 91st St., presented by the Beverly Area Arts Alliance (The Alliance). The admission is $20 per person or $25 per family.

The arts and music event pulls out all the stops for fun, but with a serious focus. As plans amp up for rehabilitating the Pike House for its future use as a cultural center, raising funds for the 501 c 3 not for profit Eugene S. Pike House Foundation is more important than ever. The Foundation and The Alliance are partners in establishing the community cultural center (pikehouse.org).
