CHICAGO — Let’s do the time warp again at the only South Side Showing of the 1975 cult classic, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” with a live shadow cast this Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago.

The movie that launched a cultural phenomenon of audience participation with fans dressing as their favorite characters and yelling back at the movie screen with ad libs like, “buy an umbrella you cheap bitch,” is waiting to be discovered by a new generation.

The screening starts at 7 p.m. Costumes and props are strongly encouraged. The 1975 cult film classic follows the adventures of a newly engaged couple, Brad Majors and Janet Weiss, whose car breaks down. Seeking a phone at a lonely castle, the two encounter a group of strange and outlandish people attending the annual Transylvanian Convention. Soon they are swept into the world of Dr. Frank ‘n Furter, a self-proclaimed “sweet transvestite” from “Transsexual, Transylvania.”
