BEVERLY-MT. GREENWOOD — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Reason for recognition: Colleen saw that the local food banks were struggling and started picking up donations from people every single week-- she advertises on all the local pages and then drives all over. She even got a back up for herself while she was on vacation.
One thing to know: Her actions have spread to other people thinking about how they can help the food banks; she saw a problem and stepped up to solve it, donating a ton of her time to do so.
