CHICAGO – Local older adults are invited to join a Senior Advisory Board hosted by Sen. Bill Cunningham (18th District) and Rep. Mary Gill (35th District). The state lawmakers are seeking input on issues and concerns of older adults.
The senior advisory board’s first meeting will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21 at their district office, 10400 S. Western Ave., Chicago.
“It’s critical that Springfield is aware of and responsive to the needs of older adults,” Gill said in a news release. “This advisory board is open to any older adult, and is intended to be a casual meeting where we can discuss challenges facing families, gather ideas for proposed legislation and look for opportunities for collaboration.”
