Dan Ryan Woods Celebrates 100 Years Sunday

Archery lessons, hikes and tours await Chicagoans this weekend at a free party in the Dan Ryan Woods.

BEVERLY, IL - Archery lessons, hikes and tours are just a few of the many activities awaiting Chicagoans this weekend at a free party in the Dan Ryan Woods.

Event coordinators through the Forest Preserves of Cook County are inviting residents to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the nearly 260-acre site. Head to the park's pavilion — it's near South Western Avenue and West 87th Street — any time between 2 and 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Party-goers can expect visiting food trucks, live music, an evening "Forest Jam" concert, guided hikes, bike tours and more.
