Interested in Chicago's Sidewalk Cost Share Program? Call NOW
Applications are open starting Jan. 1, 2014

Every year the city of Chicago gives residents the chance to share in the cost of fixing the sidewalks in front of their homes, and every year the slots fill up in no time.
The Shared Cost Sidewalk Program opens Jan. 1 and splits the cost of sidewalk repairs between homeowners and the Chicago Department of Transportation. The program only has limited space.
This year the cost of repairing sidewalks will be $4 per square foot (up over last year).
Applications will be open starting at midnight on Jan. 1, 2014. There are two ways to apply. You can call 311, or visit the program's website here.
According to city data, the 19th Ward is always one of the most active participants in this program.
