Let's Do The Time Warp Friday At BAC For 'Rocky Horror Picture Show'
Bring your besties to the South Side's only Halloween showing of 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' Friday, Oct. 27, at the Beverly Arts Center

CHICAGO — The cult movie that launched the cultural phenomenon of audience participation, with fans dressing as their favorite characters and yelling back at the movie screen with ad libs like, “buy an umbrella you cheap bitch,” will be shown Friday, Oct. 27 at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago. The South Side’s only showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Costumes and props are strongly encouraged.
The 1975 cult film classic follows the misadventures of a newly engaged couple, Brad Majors and Janet Weiss, whose car breaks down. Seeking a phone at a lonely castle, the two encounter a group of strange and outlandish people attending the annual Transylvanian Convention. Soon they are swept into the world of Dr. Frank ‘n Furter, a self-proclaimed “sweet transvestite” from “Transsexual, Transylvania.”
The BAC showing features the Rocky Horror shadow cast, wine, beer and other fabulous drinks. Advance tickets for BAC’s showing of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" can be ordered online for $25 in advance; or $30 at the door. Each patron will receive a complimentary prop bag that will allow them to take part in all of the spooky celluloid mayhem.
