Man Killed in Morgan Park House Explosion Identified

The man found dead inside a Morgan Park home that exploded on Sept. 14 has been identified as Timothy D. Lawrence, 48. He was shot in the head before the house in the 10800 block of South Morgan Street blew up and caught fire at about 12:40 a.m. The explosion is being investigated by the Chicago Police Bomb and Arson Unit.

Neighbors told ABC Chicago a retired streets and sanitation department worker had lived in the home for eight years.
