McAuley Mothers Club Seeks Gently Worn Dresses For Prom Resale Event

Donate your worn-only-once special occasion dresses Saturday, Jan. 18, for McAuley Mothers Club's prom dress resale on Saturday, Jan. 25.

CHICAGO — If you have a million bridesmaid dresses or formals to past events hanging in your closet, consider donating them to the Mother McAuley High School Mothers Club’s annual prom/graduate resale event.

Dresses can be dropped off Saturday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m. to noon at Mother McAuley, 3737 W. 99th St. at the Circle Drive entrance. No dresses will be accepted outside the scheduled drop-off.

Past resale events have featured many beautiful, worn-only-once formal dresses in a variety of colors and sizes. You don’t need to be a McAuley student to come and shop. Cash, check or credit card accepted. Enter through door 11.

McAuley students will be able to shop from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24. The sale will be open to the public from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25. After the sale, from 2 to 5 p.m., donors can pick up their dresses or dresses will be considered a donation to the school. The Mothers Club will call donors to let them know if their dresses have sold.
