McAuley Senior Maggie Zuber Places 2nd In IHSA Girls Wrestling Finals

CHICAGO — Mighty Mac Maggie Zuber took second place this past weekend in the 140-pound weight class at the IHSA Girls Wrestling finals at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington, Ill. This was the Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School senior's third consecutive trip to downstate, as well as her highest finish.

The senior is anchoring the team in McAuley's first year of offering girls wrestling as a sport. Zuber, who hails from the Garfield Ridge neighborhood, wrestled the previous two years as an individual downstate.
