Misericordia's Pop-Up Bake And Gift Shop Ready For Popping In At Smith Village, Fri-Sat
Add something special to your holiday table or under your tree at Misericordia's Holiday Pop-Up Shop, Nov. 21 and Nov. 22, at Smith Village.
CHICAGO — Just in time for your holiday sweets table, Misericordia’s Pop-Up Shop will be selling an array of fresh-baked foods and a collection of new Christmas gift items this weekend at the 19th Ward’s seventh year of sponsoring the popup shop.
Smith Village will host the annual shop for the first time, on Friday, November 21, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Shoppers are urged to take advantage of complimentary valet parking at the main entrance of Smith Village, 2320 West 113th Place, Chicago.
Misericordia residents continue to produce the most amazing array of breads, brownies, cookies and fudge, as well as pretzel trees, peppermint bark and flavored crunches. Gluten-free treats include flourless chocolate pecan cookies, spiced pecans and toffee. Prices for bakery items range from $6 to $45.

New artwork by residents is featured on a selection of Christmas cards, as well as notecards and square presentation plates. Also, Heartstrings Gift Shop is offering all new items such as wickless candles and candles in a tin, both packaged with a resident’s artwork. A selection of popular Thymes Christmas Candles spice up the mix. Prices range from $10 to $35 for stocking stuffers, and from $35 to $78 for clothing.
Also, new to the pop-up shop are Shamrock unisex hats and quarter-zip jackets for men and women to wear to next year’s South Side Irish Parade. MIS-branded Peter Millar golf shirts, quilted vests and golf gear range in price from $125 to $245.
