Mt. Greenwood Man Facing Indecent Solicitation Of A Child, Pot Charges
Danny T. Poe, 48, of Mt. Greenwood, was arrested at his home following a months long investigation, Ald. Matt O'Shea said in an email.
CHICAGO — A 48-year-old Mt. Greenwood man is facing multiple child solicitation and drug charges following a months long investigation by the Cook County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Danny T. Poe is charged with indecent solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a minor, grooming, possession of cannabis over 100 grams, unlawful possession of cannabis plants and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Poe was arrested Feb. 28 by the Evergreen Park Police Department at his residence in the 10500 block of South Troy Street. Law enforcement officials from various agencies working with ICAC worked extensively to identify and apprehend a suspect, Ald. Matt O’Shea said in an email to 19th Ward residents.
His next court date is March 21 at the Bridgeview Courthouse. Poe was ordered detained, following a pretrial hearing, and will remain in custody at Cook County Jail.

“I would like to thank the Cook County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Evergreen Park Police Department, Chicago Police Department and Cook County State's Attorney's Office for their work on this case,” O’Shea said. “Also, a special thanks to the Mayor of Evergreen Park, Kelly Burke, for her partnership with our community. We are grateful that this predator is no longer a danger to children.”
