Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
My mom is the quintessential hero. She is a superior nurse before she is anything else. While those over 60 are considered high-risk and asked to stay home, she goes to work every day to care for those most vulnerable as well as those already with the infectious disease. In doing so, she is giving up being able to see her new baby grandson which I know is one of the hardest things for her to do. We miss her so much and are lucky to call this Hero, Mom and Grandma.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
She loves her patients like family.
Thank you for all you do, Imelda!
