CHICAGO — Saint Xavier University has announced a new program that could cover qualifying students full tuition costs. The Access Advantage tuition program is set to begin in fall 2025.

Prospective students with a cumulative high school or college grade point average of 3.0 or more (on a 4.0 scale) and a family adjusted gross income (AGI) of $80,000 or less will have their tuition costs covered through a combination of state, federal, and institutional aid sources.

“SXU’s longstanding commitment to providing a quality education at an affordable investment is one of the reasons it has seen record numbers of freshmen choose SXU over the past five years,” the university said in a news release.

To qualify for SXU’s Access Advantage tuition program, students (and parents) must be Illinois residents with a family adjusted gross income of $80,000 or less; meet eligibility requirements for state and federal aid; and earn a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 (freshmen applicants) or a 3.0 college GPA over at least one year of full-time coursework (transfer applicants).

Students and families who do not meet the Access Advantage criteria are still eligible for significant financial assistance. 100 percent of full-time undergraduate students receive a merit scholarship, and approximately two-thirds of Saint Xavier students are eligible for additional aid through federal, state and institutional sources.
