MERRIONETTE PARK, IL — Dozens of people showed up Friday morning to join a search party for Daniel “Dan” Davis, III, a long-time employee of 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park. Davis was last seen in person leaving the bar early Tuesday morning.

His daughter, Wendy Davis, told Patch that she learned her father was missing Tuesday night, when she was contacted by a co-worker.

“We’re assembling a search party to see if we can find Dan’s whereabouts,” his daughter said. “All his friends, coworkers, family and complete strangers are here.”

Davis was captured a handful of times on Ring and private security cameras in Blue Island throughout the day Tuesday, near the 13200-13300 blocks of Old Western Avenue.

“He was wandering the streets, cutting through yards, looking confused and lost,” Wendy said. “This behavior is unlike him.”

The last camera sighting of Davis was around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, leaving St. Donatus Church on Union Street in Blue Island.

Volunteers gather for a search party for a missing 115 Bourbon St. employee

Based on Davis’s movements, Chief Matt Ramirez of the Merrionette Park Police Department and his daughter think he may be heading southeast, possibly into Posen.

Wendy’s mother, and Dan Davis’s former wife, who was there to support her daughter, said they spent all of Thursday driving around Blue Island looking for Dan.

“It was a different Thanksgiving,” she said, handing out stacks of fliers to the volunteers.

The search party — many of them Davis's Bourbon Street coworkers — was organizing a Google chat stream. The plan was to leave fliers at businesses in locations around Blue Island where Davis was last seen, and talk to neighbors in the area. Most of the volunteers were fanning out in their cars.

It is believed that Davis may have been involved in a multi-vehicle accidents sometime Monday near the Garden Homes Fire District near 119th Street and Avers.

According to his close friend and coworker, Kenny Braasch, Davis refused medical treatment at the scene. Davis went back to Bourbon Street after his car he was towed. He was last seen in person leaving the bar on foot around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, headed to 119th Street and Kedzie Avenue.

Davis is also believed to have interacted with a homeowner near Old Western Avenue in the area of camera sightings on Tuesday.

“He said Dan seemed disoriented and had a visible bump on his head,” Braasch told Patch. “Dan told him he was trying to find Bourbon Street. He has sustained some kind of injury.”

His daughter said they were placing less focus on the car accident, when her father was possibly injured.

“That’s not going to lead us to where he is now,” Wendy Davis said.

Since Davis was last captured on camera leaving St. Donatus Church around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, there has not been another camera sighting in over 24 hours.

Davis lives in an apartment complex by Marist High School near 119th Street and Pulaski Road. He works on Bourbon Street's production crew.

Davis, 5’8″ and 170 lbs., was wearing a black baseball hat, black Harley-Davidson jacket, red Indiana University sweatshirt and black jeans when he left the bar. He is wearing the same clothing as depicted in his missing person's flier.

Residents are asked to check their home security cameras over the past few days. If you have seen Davis or know of his whereabouts, call 911 or CPD Area 2 Special Victims Unit at 312-747-8274 with information.
