Mayor Rahm Emanuel has been popping up on airwaves across Chicago as the star of a new commercial made in response to the city's teachers strike.
If you watch television and live in Chicago you probably can't help running into Mayor Rahm Emanuel's new commercial.
In the spot he discusses what he sees as wins from the the recent Chicago Teachers Union strike and subsequent contract agreement.
Emanuel cites a full school day, principal hiring powers and the inclusion of student performance in teachers' evaluations as some of the achievements of the contract.

The ad was paid for by an educational advocacy nonprofit called Education Reform Now Advocacy. The organization has just one staff member listed on its website and scant details about what it actually does.
The group's site states that they, "envision an America in which every child, regardless of class or race, has the social and economic opportunities afforded by an excellent public education."

CBS-2 reports that the group spent a $1 million purchasing ad time across local television channels.
This is not the first time the organization has partnered with Emanuel. Huffingtion Post Chicago reports that the group has previously released ads cautioning against a strike vote and promoting Emanuel's plans for a longer school day.
