1 Dead After Crash Monday On I-55 In Bolingbrook: Police

BOLINGBROOK, IL — One person has died after a crash on Interstate 55 in Bolingbrook early Monday, the Illinois State Police said.

Police said officers responded to a one-vehicle crash involving a Subaru Forester at 3:20 a.m. Monday on I-55 southbound near Route 53.

The Bolingbrook Fire Department transported the passenger to a local hospital with injuries, but she later was pronounced dead, police said. Her identity has not been released.

The right lane was closed at the scene, and the crash remains under investigation, police said.
