3 Memorial Day Ceremonies Planned In Bolingbrook
Gatherings will be held at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on May 27 in Bolingbrook.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — There will be three opportunities to gather and honor Memorial Day on May 27 in Bolingbrook.
According to the Village, gatherings are planned at 9 a.m. at Boardman Cemetery on Paxson Drive, just north of Royce Road; at 10 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery on Boughton Road, next to Fire Station No. 3; and at 11 a.m. at Town Center Veterans Memorial, 375 W. Briarcliff Road.
Boardman Cemetery will be open to the public for tours on Memorial Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the Village. Members of the Bolingbrook Historic Preservation Commission will be stationed at the cemetery to answer questions about the cemetery's history. The Bolingbrook V.F.W., the American Legion, and the Sons of the American Legion will start off the day with a memorial service at the cemetery at 9:30 a.m.

At least one Civil War veteran is buried at Boardman, the Village said.
