Raiders remain atop conference standings after big win at Belleville East.

The five Southwest Suburban Blue Conference teams that won their season openers two weeks ago kept the good times rolling this week.
Here's how things shaked out in the second week of the high school football season:
Quarterback Aaron Bailey completed 7 of 11 passes for 138 yards and even ran for a 58-yard touchdown off a fake punt to help lead the Raiders to their second win of the season. (Bolingbrook Patch)

Lincoln-Way East 49, Dunbar 15: On the first play from scrimmage, Lincoln-Way East quarterback Blake Winkler passed to wide receiver Jay Yancy for a 31-yard touchdown. With five minutes left in the first quarter, Winkler threw a short pass to running back Tyler Starke, who rumbled for a 56-yard touchdown. (Chicago Sun-Times)
Joliet West and Plainfield South kicked off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, but the weather forced a pair of delays, the second of which caused the game to be suspended until 11 a.m. Monday. Play resumed Monday with Plainfield South leading 12-8 with 5 minutes, 52 seconds remaining in the third quarter. A pair of touchdown runs by Dantrell Wright, adding to his two from Saturday, gave the Cougars (1-1) a 26-8 victory. (Plainfield Patch)

Lincoln-Way Central 41, Thornridge 20: Brett Ditchman, Lincoln-Way Central's workhorse tailback making just his second career start in the backfield, carried the ball 41 times for 271 yards and three touchdowns. He left the game after scoring the Knights’ final points on a 28-yard run with 8:11 left in the fourth quarter. (Chicago Sun-Times)
Stagg quarterback Steve Kubiak passed for 35 yards in a 37-0 loss to Sandburg on Friday night. And all the yardage came on his only completion, a toss to running back Alan Jones. (Palos Patch)
