junior Nicola Colucy brought home two gold and two bronze medals in the <a href="http://aaubaton.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">AAU National Baton Twirling Championships</a> in New Orleans earlier this month. Colucy, the featured twirler for the BHS Marching Raiders, competed in six events in 110 degree weather. Nearly 15,000 athletes gathered for the competition.   She recently won the Midwest Regional Championships in May and placed in the top five in the Illinois Championships in July. This was her third Junior Olympic Games.
