Bolingbrook K-9 Unit Takes Honors in K-9 Olympics

Bolingbrook tandem posts best K-9 Olympics performance to date.

Officer Bob Liazuk and his K-9 partner, Leon, took home several awards in the K-9 Olympics earlier this month, police officials said.

Bolingbrook Lt. Mike Rompa said the duo has been competing in the Olympics for several years now but posted their best performance in the four-day event this year.

Liazuk snagged top honors in the "Area Search" event, while placing third in both Hogan's Alley, a patrol dog event, and Narcotic Vehicle Interiors, a narcotics event searching the inside of semitrailers.
