Bolingbrook Man Charged With Attempted Murder After He Shot Woman: PD
John Brown, 65, argued with a woman and would not leave the home before police said he fired a single shot and hit her in the head.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A 65-year-old Bolingbrook man faces four felony counts, including attempted murder after police said he shot a woman in the head during a domestic dispute on Sunday night.
John Brown was charged following the incident, which took place at 11:35 p.m. in the 100 block of South Lancaster, police said. Police found Brown standing in the driveway and found a 58-year-old woman near the front door of the home with a gunshot wound to her head, police said.
The two were reportedly arguing and the woman was told she could not leave the home, police said. When she tried to leave, Brown shot once and struck the woman in the head, police. The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

In addition to attempted murder, Brown was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a firearm, aggravated unlawful restraint, and domestic battery. Brown is being held in the Will County Jail.
