Bolingbrook Man Gets 32 Years For Criminal Sexual Assault Of A Child
In addition to the prison term, Moreno Hernandez must register for life as a sexual offender.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A 39-year-old Bolingbrook has agreed to a sentence of 32 years in prison in exchange for a guilty plea to predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to a release from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office.
Francisco Moreno Hernandez, 39, received a sentence of 26 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the offense of predatory criminal sexual assault and a sentence of six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the offenses of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Judge Julia A. Yetter accepted the plea, according to the state's attorney's office.

According to a release, between 2016 and 2023, Moreno Hernandez committed acts of sexual abuse against three separate victims. Two of the victims were under the age of 13 at the time of the offenses, and the other victim was under the age of 17 at the time of the offense, a release states.
In addition to the prison term, Moreno Hernandez must register for life as a sexual offender in accordance with the Illinois Sexual Offender Registration Act.

In accordance with Illinois law, Moreno Hernandez must serve 85 percent of the sentence for the offense of predatory criminal sexual assault and 50 percent of the sentence for the offenses of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. The sentence for the offense of predatory criminal sexual assault will run consecutively to the offenses of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Moreno Hernandez receives credit for 387 days served in the Kane County jail, according to a release.
“I want to thank the victims of this heinous crime for showing extreme bravery by coming forward. I also want to thank the families of the victims for their cooperation and support to the victims during the pendency of this case. Further, I would like to thank Victim Advocate Eli Serediuk for all her hard work on this matter," Assistant State’s Attorney Alexandra Storto said in a release.
