Book, Bake Sale Planned At First Presbyterian Church of DuPage

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The First Presbyterian Church of DuPage in Bolingbrook will hold a book and bake sale fundraiser on Jan. 26 and Jan. 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

The sale will be held at the church, 180 N. Weber Road, in Bolingbrook.

Event organizers said there will be gently used books for all ages as well as audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, VHS tapes, CDs, and video games. Donations of the same materials are being accepted at the church, or someone can pick them up from area donors.

Several baked goods will also be for sale at the book sale.

The church was first established in 1833 in a small hickory log schoolhouse, according to the church. The congregation celebrated its 190th anniversary last year. The current church building opened in 2004.

Proceeds from the sale will help the church with expenses for a new furnace and parking lot. Attendees will also be able to see some historic parts of the building that were part of the church built in 1853.
