Two men from Beardstown charged with delivery of a controlled substance.

Two men are in jail after being caught with more than 150 grams of methamphetamines last week, police say.

According to police reports, two men from Beardstown—a small town about 45 miles northwest of Springfield—were pulled over near the intersection of Route 53 and I-55 at 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 28.

Lieutenant Mike Rompa said the patrol officer found 155.46 grams of meth, which was divided into five baggies of approximately 30 grams each, after the officer noticed several furtive movements and inconsistent reasoning for being in the area.
