Emergency Repairs For Fire Station Approved By Bolingbrook Board

The fire station is located at 376 E. Boughton Road, and repairs will cost $200,860.95.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — At its Tuesday meeting, the Bolingbrook Village Board approved $200,000 in emergency repairs for Fire Station No. 3.

"Approximately two years ago, the department noticed numerous cracks in the brick of Fire Station No. 3, and contacted an engineering firm," Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta said.

The foundation of the building has shifted, causing a brick wall to crack and separate, she said.

The repairs include the shoring up of the foundation to keep the wall from collapsing.

"I'm so glad we caught it early, when we did," Alexander-Basta said.

According to the Village website, the Bolingbrook Fire Department has five fire stations throughout the Village. Stations are located at 460 E. Briarcliff Road, 375 Lily Cache Lane, 376 E. Boughton Road, 1111 W. Boughton Road and 1900 Rodeo Drive.
