1. Alleged Drug Dealer Skip Court Appearance

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the reputed overseer of a $10 million, indoor marijuana-cultivating operation in the Naperville-Bolingbrook area, after the man failed to appear for a scheduled pretrial hearing.

Questions have also arisen as to whether or not the suspect, Chang H. Chen, still has legal representation.

including Bolingbrook resident Mingdi Lu, 30, of the 3300 block of S. Bell Road, charged Aug. 21, when Naperville Police found more than 7,000 marijuana plants inside several homes in Bolingbrook and Naperville.

2. Serial Vacuum Villain Ready to Roomba

:

Two Roomba vacuums valued at $700 were reported missing from Bed Bath and Beyond, 1548 Butterfield Rd. A security investigator for the business told police a back door alarm sounded at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 8 and again at 6:41 p.m. Aug. 9, but no one was found in the area on both occasions. It was later discovered two vacuums were missing. The security investigator told police similar incidents recently occurred at the chain’s Oswego, Mount Prospect, Bolingbrook and Geneva stores.

4. Crafters Still Needed for the Bolingbrook Jubilee

Crafters needed! From noon until 6:00pm, on Sunday, August 21st .

Bolingbrook will be hosting the Jubilee 2011 Craft Show.  What a perfect place to market those wonderful handmade items.

Fees for the craft show are $20.00 per 10' x 10' space plus a refundable $10.00 "clean-up" deposit.
Seniors are Free.

Entries received after August 10 will be charged $30.00 plus the refundable deposit.

5. American Legion to Hold Monthly Meeting

The American Legion Post 1288 will meet today at the . The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. and is open to all veterans.
