Fountaindale Library Hosts Peeps Show

Submissions will be accepted until Monday, April 9.

is inviting the community to express their artistic sides with a new medium.

The library is hosting its first Peeps Diorama Contest, inviting contestants to use the marshmallow candy to create scenes inspired by their favorite book, movie, or video game. A prize will be awarded for the best entry.

Debra Dudek, the Adult and Teen Services Manager at Fountaindale, said it has been a trend for libraries to host Peeps contests for the past couple of years.

“This year's contest (at Fountaindale) is going to be a great opportunity to be creative, corny, and all around entertaining,” she said. “Plus there's marshmallows —  and who doesn't want to poke a little fun with cute little marshmallows?"

Submissions will be accepted until Monday, April 9. Rules and entry forms can be picked up from any of the library service desks.

“We are hoping to get quite a few (submissions) over the next couple of weeks,” said Chrissy Little, communications manager at Fountaindale. “It's a great activity for kids to do over their spring break.”
