Fountaindale Library's New Parking Lot Now Open
Library officials close off several spaces near the Brooks Middle School baseball field, though.

The library giveth, the library taketh away.
Friday, to the jubilee of many patrons and employees, construction crews were expected to open up the new parking lot that sits atop the site of the old library. The new lot will add 150 new spots.
Previously, the library had been operating with just 76 parking spots, which forced library goers into a free-for-all when it came to parking and pushed many employees to park on the surrounding streets.

On the library's website, officials announced that they would be closing off several spaces near the baseball field during the week from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. over concern about damage from foul balls.
Other updates from construction from the library's website:
- The overhead canopy and main library walk will be completed around September 15.
- The library will now have an entrance and exit on Briarcliff as well. Please note that this entrance and exit has a "Right In and Right Out" configuration.
- The Delaware entrance will be moving a little bit further south as we begin on the next phase of the parking lot project. This new entrance was the entrance that was used as the construction entrance/exit. The new Delaware exit will remain a full entrance and exit.
