Girls Basketball: Lady Raiders Win Big in Second Round of Nike Tournament

Lady Raiders will play Wesleyan on Wednesday at noon (Phoenix time).

Following its first loss of the season to , the girls basketball team responded in a big way, pounding No. 12-rated Stockton-St. Mary's (NY) 60-39 in the second round of the loser's bracket on Tuesday.

The Lady Raiders, according to ESPN HoopGurlz's Twitter feed, exploded to a 17-9 lead in the first quarter, fueled by senior forward Morgan Tuck's 14 first-quarter points.

Tuck added 5 more points in the second quarter and the Lady Raiders held a solid 32-18 lead at half.

The then went off in the second half, scoring 16 points and willing the Lady Raiders to a 60-39 win.

Bolingbrook is now 7-1 this season and will play Wesleyan on Wednesday at noon (Phoenix time) in the loser's bracket of the Nike tournament.
