I-55 Traffic Stop Leads To Romeoville Felon Being Charged: Police
Police said Branden Leach, 26, was found to be in possession of quantities of Xanax, cocaine, and marijuana as well as a loaded handgun.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A routine traffic stop by Bolingbrook Police on Thursday night led to the arrest of a Romeoville man who has been charged with a number of drug-related and weapon offenses, police said Friday.
Branden Leach, 26, has been charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and possession of a controlled substance, police said. Leach was pulled over just after 9 p.m. on Thursday on I-55 near Bolingbrook Drive for a traffic violation and officers detected an open container of alcohol and a strong odor of marijuana, police said.
A search of the vehicle resulted in police seizing quantities of Xanax, cocaine, and marijuana as well as a loaded 9-millimeter handgun, police said.
