Repaving Projects to Begin This Week, IDOT Advises of Road Closures
Southbound I-55/I-355 exit ramp to Joliet Road and Joliet Road from I-55 to 107th Street will be resurfaced. Local motorists advised to expect delays.

The Illinois Department of Transportation will be working on several repaving projects in Bolingbrook beginning this week.
IDOT released a tentative schedule to begin work on the projects beginning today, which could cause major delays.
The southbound Interstate 55/Interstate 355 exit ramp to Joliet Road and Joliet Road from I-55 to 107th Street will both be resurfaced. Local motorists are advised to expect to delays.

“Permanent lane closures lasting between two and four weeks, weather permitting, will be required, followed by temporary, daytime lane closures until all of the projects are finished in mid-October,” the release said.
IDOT will also be working on other projects in the surrounding area beginning this week.

Those include:
- Illinois 7 (Theodore Street) from Illinois 53 to U.S. 30 in Crest Hill.
- Illinois 53 (Chicago and Ottawa streets) from just north of Interstate 80 to Washington Street in Joliet.
- Illinois 53 (Broadway) between Theodore and Ruby streets in Joliet.
