Library's Art Walk Now Available Online
The Fountaindale Public Library has ten commissioned pieces of art, which are now available for viewing online.

The library is making photos of its art available online and has shared those photos with Bolingbrook Patch.

The library's final piece, a seven-panel work of art created by artist Markian Olynyk, was dedicated on Oct. 27 and has been on display between the second and third floors of the library ever since. The piece is dedicated to history.
Olynyk and nine of the other artists have their work displayed in the library, which opened in March amidst much fanfare.

Many of the art on display speaks to the organic feel of the library's theme— Library in the Park. Others pieces, particularly those in metal, are designed to balance the organic feel.

As a community center, the library is more than a repository of knowledge and technology. The library is also a cultural center and art is a natural extension of this place in the community.
