Man Fatally Stabbed In Bolingbrook, Suspect In Custody: Police
A 23-year-old man is dead after a stabbing in Bolingbrook on Tuesday night, according to police.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — A man is in custody after a 23-year-old Bolingbrook man was fatally stabbed in the 100 block of South Bolingbrook Drive on Tuesday, according to Bolingbrook Police.
Police responded to South Bolingbrook Drive for a report of a person who had been stabbed at 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday. Police said officers found the 23-year-old victim with multiple stab wounds to his body.
The victim has been identified as Javonnie Davis, of Bolingbrook, police said Wednesday.

Officers gave emergency medical aid, before paramedics arrived from the Bolingbrook Fire Department. Davis was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
A 22-year-old Bolingbrook man was taken into custody at the scene, according to police. The two men knew each other, and police believe they are the only ones involved in this incident.

This case has been presented to the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office for review, police said.
